Honanodon is an extinct genus of mesonychia in the family Hapalodectidae, which lived in the middle and late Eocene in the territories of China and Pakistan.
Hapalodectidae differed from the larger and better known mesonychians in that their teeth were designed for cutting meat, while the teeth of other mesonychians such as Mesonyx or Sinonyx were more specialised for breaking bones.
Honanodon was probably the ecological analogue of the otter.
