BE AS WILD AS YOUR DREAMS paleoart project

We believe in the power of ideas! And this is our story of creativity that knows no borders and can unite music and paleoart.

The work of the global music phenomenon BTS inspired us to develop the BE AS WILD AS YOUR DREAMS paleoart project.

The main idea is that every person has their own inner ancient creature, and we need to release it to pursue our dreams. Similarly, BTS emphasizes the philosophy of «love yourself» and «follow your dream» in their music.

For this creative project, we used reconstructed images of ancient animals that roamed the Korean Peninsula millions of years ago. The incorporation of paleoart makes the campaign unique both artistically and educationally, encouraging audiences in Korea and beyond to learn more about prehistoric fauna and the natural history of their land. This aligns with the idea that understanding and preserving the past is crucial to shaping our future. Likewise, the past of BTS members is an important component of their evolution as artists.

Additionally, we incorporated folklore and symbolism associated with spirit animals in Asian culture. For each member of BTS, we drew inspiration from how members of the ARMY fandom perceive their idols to create a unique style, blending these interpretations with paleoart:

• V & Megantereon, an ancient saber-toothed cat – symbolizes quiet strength.

• J-hope & Stephanoaetus, an ancient eagle – embodies freedom and aspiration toward the sun.

• Jungkook & Palaeoloxodon, an ancient elephant – represents sensitivity and endurance.

• Jimin & Metailurus major, an ancient saber-toothed cat – embodies feline grace.

• RM & Panthera zdanskyi, an ancient tiger – symbolizes wisdom and protection.

• Suga & Asiavorator gracilis, an ancient cat-like predator – embodies independence.

• Jin & Sinomegaceros, an ancient deer – represents friendship and patronage.

We believe the BE AS WILD AS YOUR DREAMS paleoart project could spark a dialogue about preserving the natural diversity that existed before the rise of human civilization and help avert the ongoing mass extinction caused by human activity. This goal is also the primary focus of our work at Uchytel Studio, where we reconstruct prehistoric animals.

Through the BE AS WILD AS YOUR DREAMS paleoart project, we also aim to show young people around the world that they should not fear experimentation. Our creative business is considered somewhat eccentric in our country, and we know that BTS, too, faced skepticism at the beginning of their journey. Our project demonstrates that art can take many forms, and people should not be afraid to bring their creative ideas to life.
