Order: Artiodactyla
Family: Palaeomerycidae
Temporal range: during the Miocene (North America, 16 - 13.6 million years ago)
Sinclairomeryx is a genus of horned palaeomerycid from the Miocene Epoch of North America. It was distinguished by its forward-and-outward-curving "C"-shaped 'horns' which had knobs on their tips, also had a pair of small bumps on its nose, a thing that occurred in no other palaeomerycid.
Originally, C. Frick named three species in the genus. Now, only one species of Sinclairomeryx riparius is known, making it monotypic. It was lived between 16 and 13.6 million years ago, and its fossils are known from the USA and from Canada. The palaeomerycids were probably deer-like, browsing on vegetation in open woodland.
